Please urgently ask your MP to vote for family reunification for lone refugee children to be protected in law after Brexit.
Right now, there are refugee children as young as eight years old who are on their own without adult protection, sleeping rough or surviving in rat-infested refugee camps, who could be living safely with family here in the UK.
These children have the right to family reunification, but currently the government is trying to use the ‘Brexit Bill’ to scrap that legislation.
The Bill is now with the Lords, who are likely to return it to the Commons to be voted on again by Wednesday 22 January.
We have less than a week to tell our MPs that there is no moral justification for depriving children of their families and putting them in further danger.
What you can do:
Write to your MP and demand that they do everything they protect unaccompanied child refugees. You can use our template - it only takes 30 seconds.
The UK Government is trying to get rid of one of the few routes to safety for lone refugee children. Time is running out and we have to protect a vital route to safety for lone refugee children. Tell you MP that family reunification must to be protected in law after Brexit!
